  • Answers patient's call bell in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school program.
  • A minimum of 3 years nursing experience in a Hospital, Inpatient Unit or nursing facility environment.
  • A clear/active Florida LPN License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred

  • Hospice experience.
  • Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) certification.

**Schedule:** Full Time Days, 36 hours a week

**Shift:** 7am - 7pm

**Location:** AdventHealth Hospice Inpatient Unit Float in Kissimmee but requires going to our Orlando and Altamonte Spring's locations when coverage is needed.

Qualifications

**The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:**

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:**

· Knowledge of nursing skills in the performance of duties in compliance with the legal and ethical parameters established and based on the level of education and certification attained by the employee.

· Knowledge of patient database system (i.e. Homeworks).­­­­

· Knowledge of procedures and third party financial reimbursements.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as physician orders, plan of care documents, policies and procedures and other instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Ability to follow standard precaution guidelines for infection control, including when providing patient care.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**

· Graduation from an accredited nursing school program is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Administrator.

· A minimum of 3 years nursing experience in a Hospital, Inpatient Unit or nursing facility environment is required. Hospice experience is preferred.

**LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:**

· A clear/active Florida LPN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required. Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) certification, preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
