The Lead Financial Analyst at Eaton's IS AER FED division is responsible for performing a variety of key routine plant accounting duties that require a standard knowledge of cost and general accounting principles. Responsibilities

  • Provide business partnership with the Program Management and Engineering group to monitor monthly spending on several large multi-year projects and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Coordinate and implement improvements to monthly closing procedures ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in development and achievement of finance department goals and objectives.
  • Partner with the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering functions to facilitate achievement of cost out targets and management of capital spend planning.
  • Measure cycle Count Accuracy and work closely with the Supply Chain function to drive compliance with Cycle Count metric goals.
  • Lead Annual Physical Inventory activities to insure accuracy of results by establishing and maintaining proper inventory controls.
  • Ensure financial integrity and control while performing month end closing activities including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage Pune resource assisting with reconciliations and daily/monthly reporting.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and track spending on Capital Appropriation Requests.
  • Perform SOX related activities related to document requirements and assessment completion.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports, presentations and ad-hoc financial analysis to support the business with a focus on the customer.
  • Assist standard cost roll and year-end LIFO reporting, and preparing year end reports required by WHQ.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration (no dual citizenship).
  • Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Preferred

  • CMA/CPA certification.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting.
  • Sound working knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and local statutory requirements.
  • Knowledge & understanding of Corp, region/division and plant reporting policies.
  • Technical capability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operational data/reports.
  • Superior analytical and thinking skills; Intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability.
  • Understanding of global business issues, including foreign currency impacts, effective hedging protocols and local customs and duty requirements.

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Lead Financial Analyst. This is an onsite role, located at our Beltsville MD facility.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105225.03 - $154330.04 a year.

**What you'll do:**

Performs a variety of key routine plant accounting duties that require a standard knowledge of cost and general accounting principles. This position is essential to maintaining seamless operations for the plant. The person must drive short term projects to increase accuracy and efficiency for the department which is critical for the long-term success of the plant.

**Essential Functions**

+ Provide business partnership with the Program Management and Engineering group to monitor monthly spending on several large multi-year projects and make recommendations for process improvements.

+ Coordinate and implement improvements to monthly closing procedures ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Administer daily finance operations including cost accounting, payables, billing, capital, and general accounting.

+ Assist in development and achievement of finance department goals and objectives. Assist department activities related to process improvements and standard work.

+ Partner with the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering functions to facilitate achievement of cost out targets and management of capital spend planning. Report actual and forecast on all cost out and capital spends and ensure alignment between systems.

+ Measure cycle Count Accuracy and work closely with the Supply Chain function to drive compliance with Cycle Count metric goals. Lead Annual Physical Inventory activities to insure accuracy of results by establishing and maintaining proper inventory controls.

**Basic (Required) Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business from an accredited university required.

+ Minimum of three (3) years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment required

+ Based on government requirements for the program this role will be supporting, applicants must be a US Citizen for consideration (no dual citizenship).

+ Relocation benefits are available for those within the United States willing to relocate within 50 miles of Beltsville, MD. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

+ Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

**Preferred**

+ CMA/CPA is a plus
