- Complete all required written documentation within the assigned time frame
- Support the department's performance in the event of coworker absences
- Learn additional functions within Tech Ops and Specimen Processing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of computers
- Preferred knowledge of laboratory testing and/or laboratory specimen processing
- No experience required but previous laboratory experience preferred
- Medical background preferred, including medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory
- Previous hospital laboratory experience is a plus but not required
- Previous experience in a production environment preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ The SPT I is responsible for general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department.
+ This position requires a data entry background.
