Qualifications

Required

  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience in acquiring, maintaining, controlling, storing, replacing, issuing, inventory, disposal, reconciliation, receipting, disposition, validating reported data, comparing previous information, review of contract data, and review financials for various types of material.
  • Understanding of a variety of methods to analyze, investigate, and implement corrective action as well as establish effective cost controls for conventional production problems.
  • Understanding of receipt, shipping and storage policies, practices and procedures.

Preferred

  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related

Summary You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the COMMMANDING OFFICER MRO LOGISITCS of FLTREADCEN EAST. Responsibilities You will monitor work in process to determine that materials are on hand to sustain production schedules and also determine the need for process or material changes when deficiencies are revealed. You will perform a variety of continuing inventory management tasks requiring analytical, judgement, procedural, and technical skills. You will perform independent verification that all materials ordered were received and utilized at the completion of work/project for compliance. You will perform Causative Research/ in-depth investigations of specific physical inventory discrepancies/adjustments to determine why they occurred and the corrective action to prevent future discrepancies. You will coordinate with management, budget, procurement, and engineering personnel on actions that affect workload production. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Acquiring, maintaining, controlling, storing, replacing, issuing, inventory, disposal, reconciliation, receipting, disposition, validating reported data, comparing previous information, review of contract data, and review financials for various types of material to include repairable, consumable, plant equipment, support equipment, and IMRL assets at FRCE; 2) Performing a variety of continuing inventory management tasks requiring analytical, judgement, procedural, and technical skills; 3) Reviewing, analyzing and preparing corrective actions required to improve supply support, financial and budget accuracy; 4) Understanding of a variety of methods to analyze, investigate, and implement corrective action as well as establish effective cost controls for conventional production problems that may occur; 5) Understanding of receipt, shipping and storage policies, practices and procedures.
