The Cook at Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center is responsible for all hot food production, baking, and cold food production assignments during their shift.   • Responsible for the supervision of the dietary department in the absence of the Director of Dining Services, Assistant and Clinical Nutrition Staff
  • Performs duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facility's corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws
  • Able to follow and prepare recipes
  • Responsible for the preparation of all foods on the menu, in the absence of the head cook, night cook
  • Puree and ground foods to proper departmental standards
  • Responsible for apportioning of foods for assigned meals to all dining rooms in correct quantities in the absence of cook
  • Responsible for serving assigned dining room with correct portion sizes
  • Responsible for storing leftover foods properly with labels, dates and times
  • Responsible for recording temperatures of all prepared foods and taking corrective action if wrong
  • May lift supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs.

PAY RATE: $16.00-$18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

HOURS: Full Time, 6:30am-2:30pm or 11am-7pm

Duties:

+ Responsible for all hot food production for meals covered during shift

+ Meets with clinical RD/DTR to determine menu and/or recipe selections

+ Responsible for apportioning of foods for meal being served in correct quantities
