Qualifications

Required

  • Associates' Degree in a life science or laboratory science/Medical Technology

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Previous experience in a clinical laboratory
  • Experience with automated instrumentation and manual testing in hematology, chemistry, and/or microbiology
  • Ability to express self concisely, accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact positively with clients, physicians and all staff

In this position you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: -Improving Health, Improving Lives.

**Schedule** : 7 on7 off 9:00PM-7:30AM Thursday-Wednesday

**Department** : Generalist position that will include some phlebotomy

**Location:** Good Sam Hospital

**Job** **Duties/Responsibilities** :

+ Hospital based Generalist position in fast paced hospital. Must be able to work efficiently and accurately in a busy environment and be adaptable to change.

**Requirements:**

+ Associates' Degree in a life science or laboratory science/Medical Technology

+ Previous experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred

+ Must be ASCP certified as a Medical Lab Technician

+ Ability to work independently and within a team environment Proficient with computers;

+ Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills

+ Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen

+ Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

+ Experience with automated instrumentation and manual testing in hematology, chemistry, and/ or microbiology desirable.

+ Ability to express self concisely, accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing.

+ Ability to interact positively with clients, physicians and all staff.
