- Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Complete repairs timely and safely.
- Report repairs at end of shift.
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts and material usage.
- Understand and follow plant safety practices and safe machine operation.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 8 years related experience and/or training in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic & electrical schematics
- Ability to troubleshoot automation PLC controls
- Ability to operate lathes, milling machines, welders, and other shop equipment
- General knowledge of safe working practices including Lock-Out/Tag Out
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to interpret complex situations and execute actions and plans
- Excellent project management skills - ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines
- Must be able to work in a cross functional organization
Preferred
- Maintenance Certification
- Excellent skills in working with interdisciplinary groups (Injection Molding, Tool Room, QA, MFG, etc.)
- Practical and academic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and tools
- Maintenance experience with Nissei, Van Dorn, Milacron and Haiten injection molding machines

**Working conditions:**
Position is located at our Cookeville, TN manufacturing facility. This facility is heated and cooled. Employee will be working with and near moving mechanical parts.
**Physical requirements:**
Candidate must be able to identify and distinguish colors, stand for long periods of time, lift/carry up to 35 lbs., reach hands and arms in any directions and kneel/stoop repeatedly. A drug screen is required prior to employment. A physical may also be required as employment terms.
