  • At least 1 year of experience under an Ophthalmologist with ophthalmic certification or Graduate of an accredited vision technology school
  • Certified as an Ophthalmic Assistant
  • Current BCLS certification

Preferred

  • 1 year in ophthalmic setting for OA
  • 2 years of previous work experience under an ophthalmologist for COA
  • Windows based computer skills

The Certified Ophthalmic Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients seen in the Optometry or Ophthalmology departments. He or she will ensure the safety and comfort of patient and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.

**Salary Range: $45,657 - $56,413 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)**

Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population. CRT experience.

Able to use NCT, Autorefractor, computer related equipment, Lensometer and able to perform K-readings.

Able to use NCT, auto refractor, perform gross visual fields and gross motility exam, slit lamp operation, applanation tonometry, operate IOL master, evaluate pupils, use of OCT/HRT, pachymetry, corneal topography and Humphrey Visual Field Knowledge and dosage of ophthalmic drops.

Able to Scribe, use portable tonopen,, Goldman VF, Fundus photography, Fluroscein Angiography, Immersion Intraocular lens
