As a Production Engineering Technician at Watts, you will be responsible for testing a variety of products including heat pumps, boilers, reverse osmosis systems, and other products assembled at the Fort Worth facility. Responsibilities

  • Promote safety awareness by observing company guidelines and ensuring processes are designed with operator safety in mind.
  • Support product process control documentation to ensure consistency and quality in production.
  • Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of Standard Work procedures, including the creation of visual aids.
  • Complete testing protocols for PVI, AEGIS, and Water Quality products, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Identify and propose alternative methods and materials that enhance safety, quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (UL, ASME) and integrate them into the product line as defined by management, engineering, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records observing Quality System requirements.
  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections of parts and work in progress to ensure adherence to ASME and UL standards.
  • Monitor and perform tasks as specified in the calibration procedure to ensure equipment is calibrated.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma required; Associate in Manufacturing Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience in production or quality assurance.
  • 5 years welding experience Required.
  • ASME experience preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with testing process and systems knowledge.

As a Production Engineering Technician, you will help test a variety of products including heat pumps, boilers, reverse osmosis systems, and other products assembled at our Fort Worth facility. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will work with the Quality and Production Engineering team to ensure product safety, quality, and compliance.

You Will:

+ Promote safety awareness by observing company guidelines and ensuring processes are designed with operator safety in mind.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
