Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianJob Description

- The QC Technicians are the "last line of defense" before the gas freeon canisters go to the customer. They need to perform the final inspection ensuring the gasses are of correct quality. - Communicate with the lab manager to get directions on which orders are ready for final inspections and test leak checks. Once they know the orders, they need to physically move the canisters to the correct location. - Perform the final inspection: check labels, make sure all paperwork is in the packets and fully filled out, polishing valves by using drills with buffing oils to polish valves on inside and make sure there are no scratches and major cuts; leak checks using a handheld monitor around and inside the valve to make sure there are no leaks; sign off on all paperwork to confirm inspection has been completed. - There will be a QC Check from an independent operator after the contractor's final inspection. - They will be supporting the lab - gas chromatography, etc.

Work Environment

- Industrial facility that manufactures canisters of FreeOn 41. - Physical labor required to move canisters into the lab using carts, standing dolly, and pallet jack. - Size of canisters vary. Most common size, approx 120 lbs and 5 ft tall; will need to be able to put two on a standing dolly and move into the lab. - Expect to move 100+ of these per day. - Open air warehouse-type facility; Hot, humid. - 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday. 7 am to 12 pm on Friday (half day). Potential to work overtime on Tuesdays and Fridays.
