Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Accountant to support the Large Electric Power Solutions business within the Electric Power Division.   • Responsible for the annual business plan and quarterly forecasts for period costs as well as the corresponding monthly variance analysis
  • Lead the tracking & accountability of LEPS OPACC Improvement Agenda (OIA)
  • Develop new tools and analytics to streamline financial analysis and provide enhanced decision support
  • Support ad-hoc analysis, Board and EO presentations, and various other Segment reporting requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field
  • 5+ years of job-related experience
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities
  • Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis

Preferred

  • Familiarity with PowerBI
  • MBA, Certified Accountant, or master's degree in a business-related field

**What You Have:**

+ **Education/Experience:** This position typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field and 5+ years of job-related experience.

+ **Accuracy and Attention to Detail** : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high level of precision

+ **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors

+ **Managing Multiple Priorities:** Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

+ **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

**Top Candidates Will Also Have:**

+ Familiarity with PowerBI

+ MBA, Certified Accountant, or master's degree in a business-related field
