Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of surgical technologist program or 2 years of surgical scrub experience.
  • CPR certification.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist certification within 3 months of employment.
  • Willingness to work with exposures to body fluids, waste and chemicals, radiation, hazardous materials, anesthesia gases and life threatening diseases.
  • On-call availability (nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Ability to move heavy patients and equipment and to stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to deal with stressful, changing environments.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Ability to communicate, cooperate and work well with others.

Sign On Bonus

Certified Surgical Techs (full Time status) are eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus. Certified Surgical Techs with 2 years plus experience are eligible for a $14,000 sign on bonus. Payment is Split at 6 months and one year. This bonus is eligible to newly hired external applicants (current AAH Team Members are not eligible at this time)

Position Requirements:
Graduate of surgical technologist program
OR
2 years of surgical scrub experience
CPR certified.
Certified Surgical Technologist certification will be obtained by the employee by sitting for the certification exam within 3 months of employment.

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
