  • Maintain open line of communication with client as new deal progresses through fulfillment.
  • Assist Private Banker in deal negotiation should an issue arise.
  • Act as Strategic Advisor to clients.
  • Identify new client cross sell opportunities.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the CIBC brand.

Qualifications

Required

  • College Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Private Banker
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as business developer with strong track record of new business generation and client relationship management experience.
  • Ability to prove credit expertise within a specific banking industry or vertical
  • Ability to identify new strategic relationships with high level of competency
  • Desire to actively market both CIBC and its products to potential clients.
  • Formal Credit Training preferred

Job Overview:

The Market Manager's primary purpose is to drive new business revenue generation and new client acquisition. The Market Manager will work closely with the Regional Manager to execute the new business strategy, serve as trusted advisor to strategic clients and be charged with development of relationship planning and strategy. The Market Manager collaborates with the Regional Manager and ultimately the Private Banker and product partners to execute this relationship plan.

Responsibilities:

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $150,000- $175,000 for the San Francisco, CA market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
