  • Maintains awareness of safety issues and reports them immediately to supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • Must currently be enrolled in a University, preferably pursuing a Management, Hospitality, or other related degree program
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Basic water safety skills
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Must be able to work flexible hours on the needs of the property
  • General accounting knowledge and basic understanding of financial statements

Full Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Intern is responsible for carrying out operations for the marina. The Intern's primary responsibility is learning as much information as possible during the duration of the internship. Gain experience in marina operations by observing multiple facets of business, such as scheduling, financial reporting, sales training, inventory control and retail management. The Intern projects a professional company image through all types of interaction. As this is a fast pace environment, must be able to work under pressure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Learn and shadow all aspects of running a Marina
  2. Work closely with the General Manager

Assists with a number of projects at one time and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of customers.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
