Job Description

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Wilmington, DE.
  1. Performs various functions associated with the AIDHC drug distribution system and demonstrates familiarity with the general duties and responsibilities of a Pharmacy technician including knowledge, competency and understanding of the position to which he/she is assigned which may include: cart fill, Pyxis functionality, IV preparation (e.g. syringes, admixtures, hazardous, continuous renal replacement therapy, total parenteral nutrition, etc.), unit dose packaging, filling outpatient prescriptions (data entry, third party processing, barcoding), unit inspections, oral liquid compounding, stock inventory maintenance and replenishment, code cart process, selling prescriptions at POS, delivery of prescriptions, and fielding phone calls.
  2. Prepares accurately, through the proper use of equipment and techniques; individualized doses of sterile and non- sterile extemporaneous medication, in an appropriate container, labeled in an appropriate manner and stored at the recommended temperature.
  3. Medication Delivery. Pharmacy products are distributed accurately, with the appropriate quantity and at the time the product is needed during hourly medication delivery and Batch delivery.

This is a full-time, evening shift (12-830 or 2-1030) position.

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • One (1) year of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
  • Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred; Children's Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
