Job Summary

The Facilities Manager is pivotal in ensuring Trew's physical facilities' seamless and efficient operation. This job involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical building systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate, equipped with a solid technical background and excellent problem-solving skills, can work independently or as part of a team and, most importantly, manage and prioritize multiple competing responsibilities and/or projects. Responsibilities include maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, performing preventative maintenance, and responding promptly to maintenance or repair issues to minimize impact on operations.

Responsibilities

Perform Routine Facility Maintenance
  • Identify and implement a proactive facility strategy that ensures efficient operations

Facility Upkeep
  • Ensure that the building's interior and exterior are well-maintained
  • Perform minor construction tasks such as carpentry, painting, and drywall repair

Management of Non-staff Resources
  • Observation of budgets and approval of expenses
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
  • Monitor and control maintenance inventory, ordering parts and supplies as needed
  • Forecasting, ordering, and price negotiation of needed sub-contractors
  • Hiring and management of subcontractors and other vendors for specialized maintenance work
  • Manage janitorial contractors, waste disposal services, and other regular providers
  • Ensure landscaping maintenance and ensure that grounds are clean and presentable

Requirements and Skills
  • Strong mechanical and electrical wiring, plumbing, and HVAC systems knowledge

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, Electrical certification) are advantageous
  • Valid driver's license required
