The Program Director at Interim, Inc. will lead the development, implementation, and supervision of the Wellness and Recovery Academy (Day Rehabilitation), Keep It Real, Dual Recovery Harm Reduction Services, and Outreach and Aftercare programs. Responsibilities

  • Supervise, manage, and develop the programs and staff, ensuring referrals are received to meet occupancy goals and programs' outcomes.
  • Manage program admissions and referrals: Assess, interview, and admit clients referred from Monterey County Behavioral Health Bureau and Interim Inc., communicate and respond within 72 hours on referral status.
  • Collect outcome and statistical information; achieve the goals of the program as identified in the contracts and by supervisor.
  • Provide supervision, evaluation, and corrective action of program staff using strengths-based approach.
  • Provide regular individual and group staff training and individualized staff development plans.
  • Facilitate and plan staff meetings, regular staff supervision sessions, and other programmatic/agency meetings.
  • Serve as a role model for positive employee relations, professional functioning, and for adherence to the principles of social rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with MCBHB, other Interim programs and other related parties.
  • Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions that enhance Harm Reduction and recovery skills for clients.
  • Provide Harm Reduction focused outreach, engagement, and aftercare services to enrolled clients.
  • Provide client-centered counseling and crisis intervention services.
  • Develop, organize, and execute creative and fun activities to reach clients needing services.
  • Create and maintain system for client, staff, and agency feedback into services.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, MCBHB, and other regulations.
  • Set-up and provide oversight of client EMR charts and consumer records for individuals enrolled in all programs, ensuring compliance with all documentation requirements (including Medi-Cal). Assist in training staff on all documentation and HIPAA compliance.
  • Develop client treatment plans, served individually and in a group setting.
  • Provide oversight of client discharge processes.
  • Develop materials and forms that are disseminated both in English and other languages.
  • Manage, monitor and adhere to program budget; accountable for all expenditures within the program.
  • Oversee physical plant maintenance, food supply, facility safety, program staffing, and staff schedules.
  • Provide transportation for clients if needed.
  • Ensure that the program adheres to all standards and requirements set forth by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's degree
  • Two years of mental health experience
  • California Board of Behavioral Sciences registered associate or CA BBS licensed as LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW
  • Two years of supervisory and substance use disorder treatment experience
  • Ability to demonstrate cultural competency skills
  • Experience with providing psychotherapeutic groups
  • Excellent group facilitation and organizational skills
  • Good written and oral English communication skills
  • Ability to learn and apply principles of social rehabilitation and recovery philosophy
  • Ability to relate effectively with clients and work collaboratively with other staff, professionals, and members of the community

Preferred

  • Knowledge of substance use recovery models, community resources and Medi-Cal documentation

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Program Director will develop, implement, and supervise Wellness and Recovery Academy (Day Rehabilitation) and the Keep It Real, Dual Recovery Harm Reduction Services, and Outreach and Aftercare programs. The purpose of The Academy, Keep It Real, and Outreach and Aftercare are to engage adults with serious mental illness and substance use disorders in Harm Reduction conversations, counseling, and psychotherapy.

COMPENSATION

$87,235 - $141,440 annually. Exempt; not eligible for overtime. Compensation is based on education and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to: operate a motor vehicle; climb stairs; possess good communication skills; meet the requirements of the classification and have mobility, vision, hearing and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed. Capable of the following extended activities: standing, sitting, climbing stairs. Capable of the following intermittent activities: lifting 25 pounds or more and bending in the performance of infrequently performed office duties.
