CohnReznick is seeking a Finance Transformation Senior Manager to join their CFO Advisory team. Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients and various colleagues from across CohnReznick’s Global Consulting Services (GCS) team.
  • Drive and manage the day-to-day activities of large scale engagements.
  • Pursue and lead engagements covering finance operating model design, finance & accounting process improvement, and finance transformation.
  • Use innovative ideas, market knowledge, and resourcefulness to create solutions.
  • Manage client engagements from prospecting to client follow up.
  • Oversee accelerated finance diagnostics, maturity assessments, and benchmarking.
  • Plan and execute design-led process and organization design workshops.
  • Articulate, design, and implement a vision for Finance and “case for change”.
  • Design and execute finance transformation roadmaps.
  • Lead/serve as key team member in delivery of Finance Transformation engagements.
  • Assist in assessing, maturing, and optimizing back-office functions.
  • Drive end-to-end implementation services for finance solutions, technologies, and automation.
  • Create new reporting strategies and develop a road map for integration of acquisitions.
  • Build strong internal relationships within the CFO and the advisory group.
  • Manage the engagements economics and serve as a conduit between client and the engagement leadership.
  • Participate in business development initiatives from pre-sales to sales execution.
  • Prepare proposals, estimates, engagement solution, pricing, margins, etc.
  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, and training.

Qualifications

Required

  • Masters Degree or MBA and 10+ years’ experience with finance strategy, finance operation, financial modeling, post-merger integration, or business consolidation
  • Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or development role at financial services firms
  • Significant knowledge of accounting and finance best practices
  • Experience with refining organizational design, business process analysis, and process mapping
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of finance automation tools and ERPs
  • Experience in delivering projects from assessment to implementation support
  • 10 plus years of practical work experience with a consulting firm and business development experience
  • Client relationship management (CRM) experience

Preferred

  • Experience within accounting firms, investment banking or private equity firms, financial consulting, business advisory services and/or banking industry
  • Experience designing and implementing shared-services and outsourcing solutions
  • Experience in emerging technologies and knowledge and use of accounting/finance systems

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Finance Transformation Senior Manager to join our CFO Advisory team.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm meaning most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

The group works with the office of the CFO function from startups to middle market to upper middle market companies. We help CFOs navigate strategic, operational, and accounting challenges. We regularly assist them in preparing for a public or a private transaction and work closely with the M&A group in providing pre and post-transaction support.     YOUR ROLE.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    As a CFO Advisory Senior Manager on the Finance Transformation team, you will be joining a professional collaborative team with unique technical backgrounds from public accounting, private industry, consulting and finance. This role will involve partnering with clients and various colleagues from across CohnReznick’s Global Consulting Services (GCS) team. Your responsibilities will primarily be to drive and manage the day-to-day activities of large scale engagements (prospecting, engagement economics, methodology/approach, coaching, staff development, and client management) and staff. We are looking for a positive, self-driven, high energy leader that understands how to service clients and motivate and lead a team to achieve excellence.

    As a Finance Transformation senior manager, you will pursue and lead engagements covering the following expertise areas:

    • Finance Operating Model Design
    • Finance & Accounting Process Improvement
    • Design and implement road map for post close integration (M&A)
    • Design and implement Finance Transformation and Optimization initiatives

    You will use your innovative ideas, market knowledge, and resourcefulness to create solutions that solve functional, organizational, and technical problems.

    • Manage the day-to-day activities of client engagements (from prospecting, engagement, deliverable and client follow up) and staff.
    • Oversee accelerated finance diagnostics, maturity assessments and benchmarking
    • Plan and execute design-led process and organization design workshops
    • Articulate, design, and implement a vision for Finance and “case for change” that draws on innovative trends, leading practice, and service innovation simplifying and innovating finance functions and processes and demonstrated ROI (cost vs. benefits)
    • Design and execute finance transformation roadmaps target operating models, shared services, COEs, finance automation design and implementation, and post-merger integration solutions.
    • Lead/serve as key team member in delivery of Finance Transformation engagements to standardize, simplify and automate processes and controls and involve review of the current state of a companies’ finance and accounting processes and advising on solutions around increasing efficiency and effectiveness across organization people, process, and technology.
    • Assist in assessing, maturing, and optimizing back-office functions.
    • Drive end-to-end implementation services for finance solutions, technologies, and automation.
    • Create new reporting strategies including simplification / transformation, dashboards, and performance management
    • Develop a road map for integration of acquisitions to an existing set up or an SSC model.
    • Build strong internal relationships within the CFO and the advisory group.
    • Assist in managing the engagements economics by organizing staffing, monitoring actuals to budgets and serving as a conduit between client and the engagement leadership.
    • Participate in business development initiatives from pre-sales to sales execution.
    • Prepare proposals, estimates, engagement solution, pricing, margins, etc.
    • Demonstrate thought leadership and develop a strong market presence/reputation,
    • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, and training.

    YOUR EXPERIENCE.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Masters Degree or MBA and 10+ Years’ experience with finance strategy, finance operation, financial modeling, post-merger integration, or business consolidation
    • Prior experience working in consulting, professional services, or development role at financial services firms. Experience within accounting firms, investment banking or private equity firms, financial consulting, business advisory services and/or banking industry preferred.
    • Significant knowledge of accounting and finance best practices and experience participating in, or leading, transformation projects to help clients simplify, automate, transform, and optimize all elements of their accounting and finance organization.
    • Demonstrated experience with: refining organizational design; business process analysis and process mapping to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and control of transactional and decision support processes; consolidations and shortening the financial close; implementing financial close and account reconciliation technology; designing and implementing corporate performance management – budgeting, planning and forecasting processes and technology; accounting systems optimization; and improving management and external reporting.
    • Experience designing and implementing shared-services and outsourcing solutions, as well as change management, a plus.
    • Prior experience managing, developing and coaching a staff of consultants
    • Client relationship management (CRM) experience required
    • 10 plus years of practical work experience with a consulting firm and business development experience in a professional services environment required
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of finance automation tools and ERPs
    • Experience in delivering projects that cover the full life cycle of assessment, design, and implementation support
    • Demonstrable and significant account management, business development and consulting sales cycle experience
    • Experience with emerging technologies and knowledge and use of accounting/finance systems and ability to create solutions to finance function problems
    • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to storyboard and create high quality outputs
    • Excellent problem solving, facilitation, and presentation skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications
    • Travel up to 25% will be required for this role.
