Responsibilities
- Provide high quality diagnostic radiology services to patients in a timely manner.
- Work together with other technologists to obtain the best possible radiographic information for interpretation.
- Keep up on changing protocols in both x-ray and CT.
- Help co-workers learn new protocols.
- Manage hospital resources appropriately.
- Maintain skill levels, licenses, and certifications.
- Comply with all state and federal Compliance and HIPAA requirements.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients from infant to geriatric, considering age-related and developmental factors in care and treatment.
- Promote the organization's capacity for learning.
- Develop resources and expertise to meet team needs.
- Operate all fixed and mobile equipment in the department.
- Ensure timely processing of patients, prioritizing emergent procedures.
- Critique radiographs to ensure high-quality images.
- Advise other departments regarding radiographic procedures as necessary.
- Prepare, position, and perform routine and special x-ray examinations.
- Maintain radiation protection standards for personnel and patients.
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited school for Radiologic Technology
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or recognized equivalent
- Current Washington Radiologic Technology license
- BLS/CPR Required
- Knowledge of computer systems
- Manages hospital resources appropriately
- Maintains skill levels, licenses, and certifications
- Complies with all state and federal Compliance and HIPAA requirements
