Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient clinic
- Provide assessment, discharge, evaluation, and plan of care
- Perform reassessments
- Implement infection prevention and patient family education
- Manage burn/wound management and edema massage
- Utilize electrical stimulation, fluidotherapy, iontophoresis, kinesiotaping, paraffin bath, TENS, ultrasound
- Provide care for acute and chronic disorders, functional activities, pre-discharge planning, joint mobilization, orthoplast, serial/inhibitory splints, and static splints
- Participate in the arthritis program, hand injury, nerve injury reattachment, tendon repair, and upper extremity prosthetics
Qualifications
Required
- 2-5 years experience in occupational therapy
- Experience with unit systems (medication, documentation, communication)
- Preferred experience with Epic and CHT
- BLS certification
- Lymphedema management experience
- Ability to perform fall/risk assessment and national patient safety goals/core measurements
- Knowledge of lymphedema management, myofascial release, standardized assessments, and myofascial release techniques
- Experience with dynamic and functional splints, upper extremity prosthetics, hip fracture/total hip replacement, knee injury/total knee replacement, amputee, dementia/alzheimers
Preferred
- 2-3 years of hand experience
