Responsibilities
- Work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.
- Provide critical care and patient care management in the Telemetry PCU.
- Utilize skills in critical thinking, EKG rhythm interpretation, and various cardiac and medical treatments.
- Float in between PCU units or to med-surg floors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with documentation system Meditech.
- Provide hourly rounding on days and every 2 hour rounding on nights.
- Maintain communication boards on the 7th floor.
- Utilize equipment such as bipaps, high flow o2, vapotherm, alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, wound vacs, and more.
- Manage patient experiences with hourly rounding and maintaining communication boards.
Qualifications
Required
- TN RN License
- 2 years experience
- Critical thinking skills
- EKG rhythm interpretation
- Experience with cardiac drip, insulin drip, and heparin drip
- Experience with bipaps, high flow 02, and multiple oxygen delivery systems
- Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care
- Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Preferred
- Peritoneal dialysis experience
- Peripheral iv skills
