University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Orthopaedics is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex with the Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Center! This is a Monday through Friday daylight position with rotating hours. Shifts can be 6:30am-3pm, 7am-3:30pm, 7:30am-4pm, 8am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5pm. This is a very busy facility, and the Medical Assistant will have an opportunity to work with a variety of providers from Orthopaedic Surgeons, Primary Care Sports Medicine, and Neuropsychologists.
\nThis position will primarily be responsible for rooming patients, utilizing EPIC, post-op care, assisting with procedures, casting and cast removal, phlebotomy for PRP procedures, stocking and cleaning exam rooms, logging injections, and other day-to-day responsibilities.
\nPurpose:
Assist physicians with various aspects of patient care (including clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks) ensuring patient satisfaction. In addition to core Medical Assistant responsibilities, serves as lead person for team regarding day-to-day workflow issues or office procedures.
