As a Banking Industry Advisor at Microsoft Corporation, you will lead industry-focused sales for Microsoft in the Banking Industry, originating sales and driving industry-led conversations with clients. This role involves developing and winning market-making opportunities, engaging with business decision makers to identify and generate new business opportunities, and articulating the strategic business value of Microsoft's products and solutions. You will be the industry subject matter expert in digital business transformation, collaborating with peers to successfully close deals and land market-making, multi-horizon business partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage Banking Industry domain expertise and C-suite relationships with Bank clients to accelerate digital transformation with Microsoft Cloud resulting in net-new revenue opportunities and growth.
  • Originate new opportunities across assigned customers, incubate new Line of Business (LOB) opportunities for Microsoft that drive adoption of our solution areas such as Microsoft Azure, Data & AI, Modern Work, Business Applications as well as Independent Software Vendor's (ISV) and System Integrator's (SI) solutions by positioning repeatable Go To Market (GTM) industry solutions.
  • Accelerate demand generation and net-new pipeline with customers leveraging C-Suite relationships to deliver multi-horizon incremental opportunities and growth.
  • Be the trusted advisor with Business Decision Maker's (BDM) to position Microsoft Banking Industry POV and related priorities. Identify and advance opportunities for new and innovative repeatable Industry solution plays.
  • Amplify external/internal thought leadership which successfully identifies positions and advances new scalable, repeatable industry solutions for Bank Industry.
  • Deliver Operational Excellence, maximize time spent with customers and lead orchestration with core account team to realize value by consistently exceeding customers' expectations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, or related field AND 7+ years of experience working in a relevant industry (e.g., Banking, Financial Services) OR Master's Degree in Business Administration Degree AND 5+ years experience working in an industry driving digital transformation OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years consultative selling experience in Banking Industry or Enterprise software, Fintech or Consultancy firms serving Banking Industry clients driving digital transformation.

Preferred

  • Prior work experience in Business Strategy Consulting (McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Accenture, Ernst & Young or equivalent firm) OR at a competing cloud / technology company (SAP, Oracle, SalesForce.com, Amazon, Google or equivalent) preferred
  • Understanding of data platforms and Generative AI in financial services

As a **Banking** **Industry Advisor** - Americas on the Industry Sales team, you will have the opportunity to lead industry-focused sales for Microsoft with assigned accounts in Banking Industry (sell-side, buy-side, markets Infrastructures, data and analytics). This role is responsible for originating sales and driving industry-led conversations with clients. Accountabilities include developing and winning market-making opportunities that deliver customer value and enabling transformational customer outcomes. You will be the industry subject matter expert in digital business transformation, engaging with business decision makers to identify, generate and nurture new line of business opportunities. You will articulate and position strategic business value and long-term positive results of using Microsoft's products, partners and solutions, collaborating with your peers to successfully close deals as well as land market making, multi-horizon business partnerships.

**Qualifications**

**Required/Minimum Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, or related field AND 7+ years of experience working in a relevant industry (e.g., Banking, Financial Services) or Industry focused Consulting environment, driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)

+ OR Master's Degree in Business Administration Degree AND 5+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Capital Markets, Financial Services) driving digital transformation, or relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ 7+ years consultative selling experience comprising either directly in Banking Industry [e.g., Commercial/Corporate Banking, Payments, Wealth, Financial Markets Infrastructures, Exchanges, Asset Managers, data providers, Private Equity (PE) firms, Hedge Funds] or Enterprise software, Fintech or Consultancy firms serving Banking Industry clients driving digital transformation.

**Additional** **or Preferred Qualifications **

Industry Advisory IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,000 - $217,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $168,600 - $237,500 per year.
