The Security Officer at CharterCare Health Partners is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all patients, visitors, and employees. Full Job Description

Summary: Ensures the safety and security of all patients, visitors, and employees of CharterCare Health Partners. Must have a working knowledge of CCHP policies, procedures and rules and regulations. Must have the ability to make decisions under pressure in accordance with CCHP policies, procedures and rules and regulations. Must have the ability to maintain composure when interacting with people even under difficult and confrontational circumstances. Must maintain complete professionalism at all times and treat all people with dignity and respect. Must have the ability to read and understand the English language.

Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent. Criminal Justice education/experience preferred.

Licensure: Valid Driver's license. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Experience: One 1 (one) year experience in security and or police force OR 2 (two) years military experience preferred. Customer Service experience preferred.

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements : Must have ability to sit, walk, run and stand. May be on feet for long periods of time. May be assigned automobile duty. Exposed to all areas in hospital/nursing home, including patient care elements within the hospital setting. Must meet all safety training requirements associated with the Medical Center.
