  • Design and architect campus compute services.
  • Support global shared services by designing and delivering cloud solutions to support the needs of other Toyota entities.
  • Configure monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to track the performance, availability, and security of infrastructure systems and services.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance controls to protect cloud-based systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage relationships with service providers and vendors to ensure contractual obligations are met and services are delivered as per agreed-upon terms.
  • Lead a small team of cloud engineers responsible for implementing and maintaining cloud systems and services.
  • Partner with peer engineering teams to plan, organize, coordinate, integrate, execute and evaluate cloud projects.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation on cloud computing best practices, trends and innovations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, and to deliver optimal cloud solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize cloud performance, availability, reliability and scalability.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies, products and services, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach team.
  • Document system and service patterns, configurations, and processes to maintain comprehensive and up-to-date technical documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven years of progressive and relevant experience in hands-on cloud computing, including supervision/management.
  • Recognized expert in cloud computing, with significant industry and function knowledge and understanding.
  • Proficient in AWS cloud platforms, tools and technologies.
  • Skilled at scripting and developing automated solutions for manual tasks.
  • Hands-on experience delivering infrastructure in a CI/CD environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving and project management skills

Preferred

  • 5+ years progressive and relevant experience in hands-on cloud computing, including supervision/management.

**Who We're Looking For**

Toyota Financial Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced **Cloud Engineering Manager - Infrastructure Services** . The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems and services to support our organization's applications and infrastructure.

This role requires a strong foundation in cloud computing technologies, virtualization, automation, and a passion for solving business problems with modern, scalable systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong ability to deliver cloud environments through automation.

**What you'll be doing**

**Platform Architecture:**

+ Design scalable, reliable, and secure virtualized systems and services for consumption by the organization, leveraging best practices and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

+ Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) templates and scripts using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources to ensure consistency and repeatability.

+ Design and architect campus compute services.

+ Support global shared services by designing and delivering cloud solutions to support the needs of other Toyota entities.

+ Configure monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to track the performance, availability, and security of infrastructure systems and services. Implement proactive measures to detect and respond to incidents in real-time.

+ Implement security best practices and compliance controls to protect cloud-based systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory requirements.

**Team, operations & supplier management:**

+ Manage relationships with service providers and vendors to ensure contractual obligations are met and services are delivered as per agreed-upon terms. Evaluate new cloud technologies and services to assess their alignment with organizational objectives and governance requirements.

+ Lead a small team of cloud engineers responsible for implementing and maintaining cloud systems and services. Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to team members to ensure successful execution of initiatives.

+ Partner with peer engineering teams to plan, organize, coordinate, integrate, execute and evaluate cloud projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with security and quality standards.

+ Provide expert advice and consultation on cloud computing best practices, trends and innovations.

+ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, functions, customers and vendors, to understand their needs and expectations, and to deliver optimal cloud solutions.

+ Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize cloud performance, availability, reliability and scalability.

+ Research, evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies, products and services, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Mentor, motivate, and coach team. Negotiate with, and influence others in often challenging situations/issues.
