Qualifications
Required
- HS diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills.
- Computer skills helpful.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
Preferred
- Previous clerical experience in a medical office.
- MA diploma with MA credential (RMA/CMA).
Full Job Description
Toledo Clinic's Internal Medicine Department, Primary Care Partners, is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to work patient check in and provide additional clerical and clinical support for a very busy practice. Candidates with a medical assisting background and credential (RMA/CMA) are preferred but not required.
The hours are Monday-Friday, 6:45am - 3:30pm. There are no weekends or holidays!
General Summary:
Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.
Works under the supervision of the Office Coordinator
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Example of Essential Duties:
1) Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
