  • Four year degree from an accredited university in mechanical engineering
  • 2 years experience as a mechanical engineer in an industrial environment
  • Proficient with AutoCAD

Preferred

  • 5+ Years of experience in leading cross-functional projects, including electrical and civil engineering, in an industrial environment

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products is seeking candidates for the position of Mechanical Engineer at our Ghent, KY site. The role of the Mechanical Engineer is to safely lead improvement efforts across the site by engaging with production and maintenance teammates at all levels to identify areas of opportunity and take care of our customers. The successful candidate will use their strong fundamental knowledge of engineering management principles to successfully lead small and large-scale projects. They will have a commitment to safety above all else, be goal-oriented, cost and quality-minded, and results-driven.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Minimum Qualifications:

Four year degree from an accredited university in mechanical engineering

2 years experience as a mechanical engineer in an industrial environment

Proficient with AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ Years of experience in leading cross-functional projects, including electrical and civil engineering, in an industrial environment
