  • Leading, Managing, and Coaching the maintenance team, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
  • Overseeing the maintenance budget, including resource allocation, cost control, and alignment with financial goals
  • Ensuring optimal performance of all plant machinery and equipment through scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of major repairs or overhauls
  • Managing relationships with external contractors and suppliers, including contract negotiation, service oversight, and quality assurance
  • Utilizing Maintenance Management Systems, Predictive Analytics data, and performance metrics to monitor equipment effectiveness, identify improvement areas, and make informed maintenance decisions
  • Implementing emergency response plans to address equipment failures or other crises, minimizing operational disruption
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements, including adopting new technologies or methodologies to improve maintenance efficiency and plant performance

Qualifications

Required

  • 10 or more years of experience in Maintenance, in an industrial setting
  • At least 5 years of experience leading teams and individuals
  • At least 3 years of experience with Predictive Analytics in maintenance
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed

Preferred

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in steel production
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex maintenance issues
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with various departments, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting

Your role will involve strategic planning, team management, budget oversight, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals and work closely with various departments to minimize downtime and enhance plant performance. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Working Conditions:
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
