Responsibilities
- Developing and executing comprehensive maintenance strategies including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure plant reliability and efficiency
- Leading, Managing, and Coaching the maintenance team, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Overseeing the maintenance budget, including resource allocation, cost control, and alignment with financial goals
- Ensuring optimal performance of all plant machinery and equipment through scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of major repairs or overhauls
- Managing relationships with external contractors and suppliers, including contract negotiation, service oversight, and quality assurance
- Utilizing Maintenance Management Systems, Predictive Analytics data, and performance metrics to monitor equipment effectiveness, identify improvement areas, and make informed maintenance decisions
- Implementing emergency response plans to address equipment failures or other crises, minimizing operational disruption
- Identifying opportunities for process enhancements, including adopting new technologies or methodologies to improve maintenance efficiency and plant performance
Qualifications
Required
- 10 or more years of experience in Maintenance, in an industrial setting
- At least 5 years of experience leading teams and individuals
- At least 3 years of experience with Predictive Analytics in maintenance
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Preferred
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in steel production
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex maintenance issues
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with various departments, vendors, and stakeholders
- Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required
- Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, CMRP) are a plus
- Equivalent Combination of Education and experience may be considered
Working Conditions:
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
