  • Making sales calls, attending BEO, site and other planning meetings to close business and grow revenues and profitability.
  • Upselling all equipment, labor and creative services with each and every opportunity.
  • Speaking with customers, teammates and hoteliers in a positive, friendly, and enthusiastic manner.
  • Documenting activities on a daily basis based on hotel or event site protocol.
  • Seeking out ways to improve the operation to include service and financial results.
  • Maintaining and protecting all assets at all times from damage, misuse or possible theft.
  • Build upon the AVmedia Culture, Core Values and Core Purpose by being a role model at all times.
  • Forge excellent relationships with Family members and key customers whenever possible.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to spend at least 8 hours a day on feet.
  • Available days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Able to bend down, kneel and squat to work on the floor if needed.
  • Some MAC and Windows experience.
  • Basic knowledge of AV (flipcharts, microphones, laptops, breakout projection, screens, static lighting, audio mixers and speakers etc).

Preferred

  • Knowledge of digital audio mixers, intelligent lighting, networking, advanced switching, HD, laser projection.
  • Live event hotel experience, preferably in a sales or operations role.

The candidate's role will include the selling and servicing of audio visual equipment, technical and creative services on a day to day basis, as well as building on site relationships with customers and hotel partners. As a sales leader, the candidate needs to be able to keep organized files, contact customers in a timely and efficient manner according to AVmedia standards, and track and record sales progress while hitting or surpassing budget goals. The candidate should be friendly, flexible to change at a moment's notice, very reliable, be cognizant of the importance of service, revenue generation and other factors such as safety for customers and their teammates, and genuinely enjoy serving others. Technical skills are important, but just as, if not more important, are customer service skills, energy, positive attitude, and drive.

The offer of this Sales Manager or Sales Coordinator opportunity will be determined based on experience.

Requirements

Job Requirements

The candidate needs to be able to spend at least 8 hours a day on their feet, be available days, nights, weekends and holidays, and be able to bend down, kneel and squat to work on the floor if needed in a time sensitive situation to support the AVmedia operations family. Some MAC and Windows experience is preferred. Knowledge of high-speed networking is a plus.

Technical Skills:
