EBAD seeks a Program Manager to support our Warfighter market segment, focusing on the strategy and execution of a portfolio of defense products sold to domestic and international customers.   • Provide leadership and ensure the achievement of delivery milestones.
  • Create and support proposal development, contract negotiations, and contract award.
  • Serve as the customer point of contact.
  • Anticipate and advise the customer on status.
  • Facilitate internal & external communication.
  • Be the voice of the customer to keep the team focused on contractual commitments.
  • Perform project planning and kick-off.
  • Maintain accurate program schedules for assigned programs.
  • Track and report project status / performance.
  • Advise Segment Director on commitment changes, scope changes, or technical issues.
  • Work with Business Development Managers in identifying & capturing new program opportunities.
  • Participate in and lead elements of strategic initiatives across the product segment.

Qualifications

Required

  • BS in a technical or business discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry in functions such as technical sales, project engineering, business administration, and/or program management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite software.
  • Solid understanding of Program and Project Management.
  • Fundamental knowledge of financial concepts such as sales, gross margin, operating income, balance sheets, and working capital.
  • Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing concepts such as root cause & corrective action, six sigma, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

Preferred

  • Prior ordnance and explosives background
  • 4-6 years of experience with working low volume, high mix programs in an Engineering or Program Management role within the Aerospace & Defense industry
  • BS Degree in an engineering discipline is required. Mechanical or materials science background preferred.
  • Must be a hands-on self-starter motivated to grow within the organization
  • Effective communication skills
  • Some technical design and manufacturing processes knowledge is required
  • Team Player
  • 15% foreign and domestic travel is required
