Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the CEO.
  • Manage the monthly close process, including the preparation of flash reports and variance analyses.
  • Compile and present financial packages, ensuring accuracy and integrity in reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis to inform decision-making, focusing on optimizing the company's financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain forward-looking cash flow forecasts, identifying potential financial risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the CEO on budget planning and strategic financial initiatives.
  • Understand timing of purchase order commitments
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring timely collections and accurate vendor payments.
  • Manage reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other key financial statements.
  • Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Review weekly payroll reporting as prepared by office manager
  • Maintain lease amortization schedule and record monthly adjustments in accordance with ASC 842
  • Responsible for managing revenue recognition and percentage of completion in accordance with ASC 606
  • Work closely with the Office Manager to manage billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing and cash receipts.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining billing systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Recon inventory activity, valuation, and balances between ConnectWise and the accounting system
  • Develop a methodology for analyzing and reserving for slow-moving and obsolete inventory
  • Maintain inventory management system and implement periodic cycle counts in conjunction with annual counts of high value inventory items.
  • Maintain and improve business systems, processes, and controls, including budgets and key performance indicators, understanding the key financial drivers of the business to manage to those numbers with intensity, including identification of EBITDA addbacks.
  • Assist Digital Provisions with consolidated annual audit as needed, with no material errors

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial reporting and forecasting while providing strategic insights to the CEO. This role also encompasses elements of the financial controller's responsibilities, including managing the financial close process and ensuring compliance with GAAP. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will support billing processes alongside the Office Manager.

In this role you will…

  1. Financial Reporting & Forecasting:
