Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in medical education or professional associations
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience and proficiency in Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Zoom
  • Strong writing ability
  • Able to work well with stakeholders throughout the community
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, execute tasks under minimal supervision, and problem solve
  • Comfortable working on a small team

Preferred

  • Master’s degree
  • Knowledge of ACCME criteria and standards
  • Familiarity with clinical practice guidelines development, project management, statistical analysis, and literature review
  • Familiarity with conference and abstract management systems. Cadmium preferred

Full Job Description

The North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) is looking for an organized education professional to serve as project lead for several critical initiatives at NANS, including our clinical guidelines program and Neural Interfaces conference.

The manager will work with a group of volunteer clinicians and contracted support to develop NANS’ capability for clinical guidelines. This individual will oversee the development and distribution of clinical guidelines and position statements. For Neural Interfaces, the manager will lead program planning and implementation, working with the steering committee, vendors and other NANS staff.

This position is under supervision of the Director of Education.? Up to one evening per week may be required for meeting with committees and work groups. Some travel, likely 2-4 times a year, may be necessary.

Essential Responsibilities?

  • Facilitate the development and dissemination of guidelines and statements, working with the Guidelines Oversight Committee and guidelines work groups.
  • Support scientific writing and editing.
  • Provide project management to Guidelines Committee, its related work groups, and Neural Interfaces steering group.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders, including board leaders, to help refine NANS’ capacity for developing high-quality clinical evidence-based guidance.
  • Develop and implement dissemination strategies for statements and guidelines, working with NANS staff and contractor. Create content, such as educational presentations, webinars, website copy, in support of these efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for collaborations with other medical societies, serving as point person for collaborative projects and facilitating review between both societies.
  • Serve as liaison for Guidelines Committee and work groups and Neural Interfaces steering group. This may include drafting meeting agendas, coordinating meetings and conference calls, and tracking follow-up items.
  • Work with Neural Interfaces steering group to develop the meeting program. Manage the set-up and launch of the Speaker Management System for all aspects of faculty selection and correspondence
  • Manage the Neural Interfaces conference call for abstracts in the conference management system and facilitate abstract review.
  • Develop plan for conference, collaborating with meetings team and marketing, to ensure goals and timelines are met.
  • Manage the Neural Interfaces conference program website from the conference management system in collaboration with marketing
  • Manage faculty and sessions onsite for the conference
  • Manage the implementation of educational activity evaluations
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Location

NANS is a remote working environment, headquartered in Illinois. Preference is for Illinois-based candidates.

Benefits and Compensation

NANS offers a comprehensive benefits plan that includes 24 paid days off per year, 11 holidays, 7% retirement plan contribution, health and dental insurance, and short-term and long-term disability insurance. All staff members receive $500 annually toward professional development activities.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, salaried position, with a 37.5-hour work week, Monday-Friday. We offer flexible work schedules.
