  • 3 years third party experience

Preferred

  • CCS (Coding) or CPC (Coding) certification
  • RHIA (Health Information) or RHIT (Health Information) certification
  • 3 years medical records experience

**Position Details:**

+ **Location:** Fully Remote (must reside in the State of Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina)

+ **Status:** Full Time (non-exempt)

+ **Shift:** 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

+ **Days:** Monday - Friday

The **Coding Coordinator** is a full-time remote position. This team member must currently reside in Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina.

**Responsibilities**

+ The Medical Records Coding Coordinator performs reviews of medical records to assign or confirm appropriate diagnosis assignment of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT4, HCPCS and Modifiers

+ Serves as liaison between billing, ancillary departments and coding to correct bills, identify errors and trends for problem solving and education.

+ Monitors patient bill-hold for timely billing.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Certifications and Licensures**

+ Required - CCS (Coding); Or - CPC (Coding); Preferred - RHIA (Health Information); Preferred - RHIT (Health Information)

**Education**

+ Required - High School or equivalent

**Experience**

+ Required - 3 years coding and 3 years third party.

+ Preferred - 3 years medical records.
