  • Performs painter duties, including assembling scaffolding, and installation of wallboards and tiles.
  • Maintains and cares for Medical Center grounds and maintains general cleanliness of all exterior areas.
  • Installs, operates and repairs heavy and light equipment.
  • Recommends and/or prepares purchase requests.
  • Assists trade mechanics in the performance of their duties and assists in snow removal.
  • Serves as a member of the Fire Response Team and responds to emergencies.
  • Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience.
  • Ability to use tools related to the carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and mechanical trades.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Job Description

Performs general maintenance duties, including but not limited to installations and repairs of electrical, water, heating and ventilation systems, as well as interior and exterior structural woodwork and masonry.

Job Responsibility

1. Installs, repairs and maintains all existing electrical systems excluding duties necessitating Electrician I and II expertise, e.g., systems above 240V., magnetic controllers and repair of generators.

2. Constructs, repairs, replaces and maintains all woodwork including structural woodwork and masonry to interior and exterior of building, using both hand and power tools, excluding duties necessitating Carpenter A expertise, e.g., manufacturing of cabinetry and countertops.

3. Repairs furniture, equipment, machinery and door checks.

4. Installs, maintains, repairs and replaces existing water, waste, vent, drainage and vacuum systems, excluding duties necessitating Plumber A expertise, e.g., medical air and gas and steam systems.

5. Installs, maintains and repairs existing heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment, excluding duties necessitating HVAC Mechanic A expertise, e.g., refrigeration systems, repairs to complex pneumatic, analog, electronic and DDC controls.

6. Performs painter duties, including assembling scaffolding, and installation of wallboards and tiles.

7. Maintains and cares for Medical Center grounds. Maintains general cleanliness of all exterior areas. Installs, operates and repairs heavy and light equipment (both medical and non-medical).

8. Recommends and/or prepares purchase requests.

9. Assists trade mechanics in the performance of their duties and assists in snow removal. Serves as a member of the Fire Response Team and responds to emergencies.

10. Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification
