As a Maintenance Technician at Berry Global, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of equipment, including electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and optic systems. Responsibilities

  • Work in a professional manner with other maintenance personnel to keep all equipment in top working order.
  • Troubleshoot, remove and replace different types of electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and optic systems.
  • Pre-inspect parts or equipment to be repaired to determine what parts, supplies, forms, tools, tool repair and shop equipment are required.
  • Read programmable controller information to diagnose complex problems.
  • Diagnose and repair AC and DC motor controls.
  • Replace belts, pulleys, cables, chains, bearings, gears and related equipment.
  • Communicate with other plant personnel to review deficiencies.
  • Accurately log all work performed.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean orderly manner.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with plant lockout/tag out procedures, electrical safety, hazard communication program, personal protective equipment and other safety programs and apply these procedures when working on equipment.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to work off of a ladder or in high or cramped spaces.
  • Skill in diagnosing and repairing plastic injection molding equipment and accessories.
  • Talent in troubleshooting industrial motors, starters, controls, and panels.
  • High school education or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good hand and eye coordination.
  • Dexterity in using hand tools.
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds and carry 50 pounds safely.
  • Ability to intermittently sit, bend, climb, twist, crouch, reach, and lower.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

  • Injection molding machine abilities.
  • Electrical background.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and professionally.

**Qualifications**

1. Must be skillful in diagnosing and repairing plastic injection molding equipment and accessories. Talented in troubleshooting industrial motors, starters, controls, and panels.

1. High school education or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1. Good hand and eye coordination is essential.

1. Demonstrated dexterity in using hand tools.

1. Ability to lift 100 pounds and carry 50 pounds safely.

1. Ability to intermittently sit, bend, climb, twist, crouch, reach, and lower.

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to transfer and to interpret the explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES**

1. Injection molding machine abilities preferred.

1. Electrical back ground preferred

1. Ability to operate a forklift safely and professionally.

Schedule: This is a weekend shift Friday - Sunday 645A- 645P and 645P - 645A. 2 positions per shift. 12 hour shifts. Pay for 40 Hours. Exclusions apply.
