  • Holds quarterly conversations and annual performance reviews
  • Resolves customer issues timely
  • Trains the team on products, suppliers, and applications
  • Ensures accuracy and timely completion of customer quotations
  • Participates in Item Plan Review activities
  • Creates proposals and quotes while receiving customer feedback
  • Maximizes ERP system tools into company activities
  • Assists other departments with work instruction training
  • Coordinates and participates in joint calls
  • Makes sound decisions on customer opportunities
  • Submits sales and expense reports timely
  • Reduces obsolescence by ensuring required inventory commitments

Qualifications

Required

  • Degree in business or relevant industry experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Inside Sales is responsible for managing all aspects of the Inside Sales Team. This role develops and implements appropriate processes to meet current and future customer needs. They will provide training, guidance and direction to Inside Sales Team members. This individual will work closely with cross functional teams and other departments to maintain customer relationships and ensure requirements are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Implements and executes strategic sales and business plans set forth by the OEM BU

+ Hires and trains Inside Sales reps on system procedures, and processes in accordance with the work instructions in the OEM Ops Binder

+ Collaborates with Senior Sales Leadership on identifying new opportunities, challenges, and change management processes of all OEM projects and initiatives.

+ Review and manage margin per the guidelines set by the OEM BU

+ Has a clear understanding of OEM product quality requirements, and specifications

+ Utilizes and monitors portals and reports to assure OTD goals and quality requirements are being met.

+ Assign goals & objectives to associates to which they are held accountable for

+ Holds quarterly conversations and annual performance reviews.

+ Work with the team to resolve any customer issues in a timely manner.

+ Trains the team on products, suppliers, and applications

+ Ensures accuracy and timely completion of customer quotations.

+ Assignment of account packages

+ Participates in Item Plan Review activities as needed.

+ Helps team in creating proposals and quotes while receiving customer feedback.

+ Maximizes the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system tools into all areas of company daily activities. Represents Sales Department as a Super User.

+ Assists other departments within the organization to prepare and provide work instruction training.

+ Coordinates and participates in joint calls as required.

+ Make sound decisions on customer opportunities per the Schedule of Authority

+ Submits all required sales and expense reports in a clear and timely manner.

+ Reduce obsolescence by assuring the team is getting required inventory commitments.

+ Business Plans for Assigned Accounts

+ Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.

+ Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

What You Need:

+ Degree in business or relevant industry experience.

+ Bonus Points If You Have:

+ Polished presentation skills, both written and verbal.

+ Ability to negotiate with customers.

+ Ability to resolve conflicts between team members in an objective manner.

+ Strong communication skills including active listening.

+ Efficient multi-tasking abilities and problem-solving skills.

+ Experienced in Microsoft Suite of products and ERP systems.

+ Ability to manage time and quickly adapt to changes in the work place.

+ Advanced Blueprint Reading (Engineered drawings and specifications)

+ A valid driver's license may be required.

+ Position requires up to 25% of travel.
