Description

Position Summary: Ensure that medical equipment is well-maintained, properly configured and safely functional. Responsibilities include inspection, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of medical devices used for the delivery of healthcare. Types of devices include patient monitoring, ECG machines, ventilators, and other general and specialized medical devices. Must be have the ability and customer service skills to interact with clinical staff in the clinical setting. Is expected to enhance career by attending in-house and OEM training sessions.

Experience -

Required: None -

Preferred:

2-5 years working in a technical (industry/medical/hospital) setting.

Education -

Required: Associate in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, completion of DoD BMET training or equivalent technical or engineering education -

Preferred: Associate in Biomedical Equipment Technology or DoD BMET training

License and Credentials -

Required: None -

Preferred: CBET

Skills -

Required: Ability to use test equipment and hand tools. Familiarity with MS Office. HOURS: 40 hours per week M-F
