Qualifications

Required

  • Have at least three years’ full-time of clinical experience in neonatal nursing in a NICU that is equivalent to a Regional or Community NICU
  • Have current certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from a nationally accredited organization i.e., NCC or the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN); or certified by AACN as a Neonatal CNS
  • Have evidence of current instructor status by the NRP of the AAP and the AHA
  • CA RN License
  • BLS certification
  • AACN/NCC certification
  • NRP Instructor (AAP or AHA) certification

  • Previous Charge Experience
  • Will be expected to understand NICU quality metrics, tracking, and interpretation (Focusing on decreasing chronic lung disease, hospital acquired infections, and improving thermoregulation, and healthy work environment.
