  • Deployment activities within data security.
  • Working on tickets, incoming requests, processing requests.
  • Cyber security background.
  • Engineer background is a must.
  • Customer service mindset, forward-facing working with customers.
  • Documentation is KEY, Communication is KEY.
  • Flex with policy work, Engineering, etc.
  • Agile team, so an agile background is a plus.

Preferred

  • Understanding of Agile practices.
  • Understanding of Data Loss Prevention principles and tools.
  • CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • DevOps Experience.

Full Job Description

An electric utility client is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to be part of the agile team focused on Data security tasks. Tasks include monitoring and analyzing data to prevent unauthorized access, use, or transmission of sensitive information.


Location: Rosemead, CA (REMOTE)

Position: Cyber Security Analyst

Pay Rate: $44.67/hr. on W2

Duration: 18 months or longer

Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

***Fully Remote - must work in PST time zone***


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Agile team members focused on Data security tasks.
  • Tasks include monitoring and analyzing data to prevent unauthorized access, use, or transmission of sensitive information.
  • They will assist in configuring and managing tools and policies, reviewing alerts for potential data breaches, and investigating incidents to determine their cause and impact.
  • Additionally, they collaborate with other IT and security teams to implement corrective actions and improve data protection strategies.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Cyber Security Analysis experience.
  • Data security background
  • Running reports

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles, basic system administration, basic scripting
  • Problem-solving: Capable of developing solutions to assist the team in preventing data loss and improving user outcomes.
  • Communication: Effective in educating employees and collaborating with IT teams.
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Willingness to learn


CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Cyber security related - demonstrated SR. level experience (large scale)


DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Understanding of Agile practices
