is seeking to hire a Testing Technician for our client in Camden, NJ!

Shift Details: 8:00 AM 2:00 PM

DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
Ensure that products perform correctly.
Perform tests on manufactured products.
Assemble equipment.
Calibrate equipment

Improve equipment.
Maintain equipment

Give reports on defects.

Qualifications/Education:
Associate of Science in Engineering Technology or a related field.

Replacement for current contractor who has been in the role for almost 1 year
The person doesn't grasp things well despite training multiple times
Always unprepared they have panels scheduled at a certain time and they should be prepared as per their standards 2 hours ahead of schedule
Cups and lids need to be labeled, samples need to be prepared as necessary
attention to detail matters the most and is KEY for this sensory technician role all the products need to be of the same temperature
Additionally, this person needs to have strong leadership qualities so they can direct the other assistants on testing day
This piece was missing with this current contractor
They are looking to replace him.

PART TIME ROLE: maybe 8 weeks in the year where hours will be around 20-25 hours per week; the average hours are 5-10 hours per week
One day per week when they do not have testing
On this day, they will answer emails and manage the lab and make sure all suppliers are up to day.
The candidate who left this role also worked elsewhere part time
This is what they prefer because this role has limited hours available
They cannot increase hours works if requested by the candidate.
They will be flex to accommodate the persons other jobs
Ideally want someone onsite Tues-Thurs, but flexible to come in other days if they have another part time job
They are easy to work with on this and ask that this candidate has strong communication they will discuss a schedule that works, but need them to work at least 5-10 hours
Communication is the key here and if they discuss a plan they will work with the individual candidate.

The candidate will be working in the sensory lab working on samples for employees to test and give feedback
The hours 8 am to 2 pm about 1 day a week is an estimated schedule; need candidate that will be flexible w the hours
The candidate doesn't need sensory testing experience, but some prior lab experience from college courses would be ideal; they will consider candidates without a degree...this candidate will be on their feet most of the day; the lab DOES NOT have windows FYI...MS Office Suite is a requirement
Must have strong communication skills and leadership skills heavy interactions with internal employee and Sensory PMs will be guiding lab techs on lab procedures when they DO have testing panels.
