  • Ordering parts for inventory and resale
  • Monitors inventory levels to prevent shortage
  • Orders and receives supplies and parts as needed
  • Tracks part returns and cores to ensures credits are received
  • Works with customers during all process of their repair
  • Helps diagnose and isolate the customer's concerns
  • Test drive vehicles with customers
  • Contact customers for verbal authorization of repairs
  • Prepares repair estimates and repair orders
  • Reminds customers of necessary preventative and scheduled maintenances
  • Conducts or delegates Thank you / follow up calls to customers within 2 days of service
  • Provide alternative payment methods when necessary
  • Manage and maintain goal boards
  • Monitor financial statistics and track budget
  • Review stores KPIs daily
  • Actively price parts to ensure the company is receiving the best value

Qualifications

Required

  • Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Technical skills from working as a technician or having formal automotive service training

Preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • At least two years related experience and/or training
  • Has or willing to obtain an ASE certification in Service: Automobile Service Consultant

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and stretch. Manual dexterity to handle tools and the ability to move 25 pounds are regularly required. Vision must be sufficient to inspect auto for maintenance and repairs and to reconcile sales and cash.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. Employees should wear the proper safety gear including eye and ear protection.
