Vistra seeks an experienced Event Coordinator to provide event management support to the Department of Defense's (DOD) Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (OUSD P&R) and the Defense Suicide Prevention Office (DSPO). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management and coordination. This role requires the ability to engage in promoting or creating and intended public image for individuals, groups, or organizations.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide planning, administrative, and logistical support for up to 12 internal and external DoD suicide prevention events/engagements (e.g., roundtables, conferences, symposiums) per year, including but not limited to, the Department of Veterans Affairs, other federal agencies, academia, and other non-governmental and nonprofit organizations, intended to support Service members, their families, and DoD civilians.
- Research event purposes and venue locations; manage and coordinate invitations and RSVP; coordinate registration activities, including payment of applicable registration fees; and coordinate parking and escorting visitors.
- Draft, print, and distribute event communications, DSPO-themed products, agendas, slide presentations, read-ahead materials, place cards, leadership binders, talking points, and speech materials to attendees and speakers, as applicable, per direction from DSPO.
- Draft and support event invitation activities, to include DoD approvals via required staffing/coordination packages.
- Coordinate transport of materials to and from events
- Provide onsite event support (e.g., escorting, setup and breakdown of event materials, distributing event materials) and staff to continuously man DSPO-sponsored tables.
Requirements
- Education: B.A./B.S.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience

- Experience with DOD or VA.
