The Maintenance Mechanic at Aerofab Division of Tube Processing Corporation is a self-managed individual who works well within a team environment and follows strict safety protocols. Responsibilities

  • Work well within a team environment.
  • Follow strict safety protocols.
  • Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems on machine tools.
  • Work with AC and DC control circuits.
  • Troubleshoot, trace, repair, and install three phase, single phase, and low voltage electric wiring and controls.
  • Work on PC based CNC, and PLC controlled equipment.
  • Work on lasers and robotic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of servo motors and drives.
  • Use/integrate oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power meters, and other testing equipment.
  • Maintain, schedule, perform, and document preventative maintenance procedures on all Aerofab equipment.
  • Help develop, implement, and support cost reduction opportunities.
  • Maintain maintenance supplies and inventory.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and flexible shifts with short notice as required.
  • Understand the importance of meeting customer production and maintenance schedule deadlines.
  • Work in conjunction with the production team.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Four to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, optical, and electrical schematics, drawings, specifications, and manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply basic principles of algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Preferred

  • Able to weld using GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW.
  • Able to braze and cut using oxy-acetylene torches.
  • Fork lift certification
