Prime Machine, Inc. was created in 1979 to provide emergency Industrial Equipment Repair and New Component Fabrication Services to a wide range of Customers statewide and beyond. We currently provide Large and Small Machine Shop Services, Welding Fabrication, Millwright Field Services, Gearbox Repair, and State-of-the-Art Laser Inspection Services. Our major Customers are found in Mining, Power Generation, Aerospace & Defense, and other critical Industries.
What are the duties of a Logistics Coordinator at Prime Machine?Tool Room Organization:
- Maintain tool rooms in a clean and orderly manner. Ensure that tools are secured and stored in such a way that damage or misplacement does not occur. This includes the Aerospace Tool Room.
Tool Control:
- Tooling and supplies are to be issued to individuals as necessary daily.
- Manage scrap, including solids and liquids - paint, oil, grease, solvent, etc.
- Items that are to be consumed on the Jobs will be billed to the Jobs.
- Daily walk through the shop and recover tools that are not in use and re-secure in tool room.
- Manage warehouse supplies. Stocks to keep shop operations through nightshifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Check all tools' serviceability and ensure proper condition before returning to stock. Report any problems purchasing for repair or replacement.
Data Entry:
- Input all consumed hardware items in Global Shop system.
Shipping & Receiving:- Unload/load incoming shipments.
- Review packing list and delivery tickets against purchase order for acceptance.
- Package and prepare products for shipping as requested.
- Marks received materials with the correct job number.
- Notifies the Requestor and Purchasing Department of arrival and storage information.
- Organize the Receiving of purchased materials and notify the Requestor of product arrivals. Tag, mark, and identify materials to jobs per requirements. Mark incoming jobs with Job#.
- Responsible for reviewing and inspecting externally provided products, including from sources defined by the customer. Reconcile delivery tickets, packing lists, with purchase orders.
- Monitors and tracks materials transferred between buildings.
Quality Control:- Works with Purchasing Manager to identify and resolve issue(s).
- Quality/conformance inspection by visual and measurement activities upon receipt to verify that requirements and acceptance criteria for products and services have been met (quantity, dimensional, damage).
- Checking material certifications against requirements for accuracy.
- Maintain and control documented information created by and/or retained by external providers
What experience and expertise are needed?- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years prior experience in shipping and receiving
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills
