Responsibilities

  • Greets customers.
  • Assists customers in locating product in the store.

  • Box or Pack customer orders.
  • Assist customers in loading purchases in their vehicles or assist with delivery requirements as needed.
  • Answer telephone and assist customer inquiries.
  • When backorders are received processes paperwork and contacts customers for pick up.
  • Rotates stock according to packaging expiration date.
  • Communicates to supervisor regarding any uncertainty of work instructions.
  • Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to safety standards and immediately notifies supervisor or Human Resources of any safety concerns and problems.
  • May assist in unloading freight and in the receiving process.
  • Ability to pick master cartons off floor, put onto carts and stock shelves.
  • Performs regular housekeeping and assigned janitorial duties.
  • Performs cycle counts.
  • Re-stock shelves as freight is received.
  • Assures Shelf Tags are present, readable, in good condition and accurate.
  • Labels shelves with Shelf (Price) Tags. Uses sticker system to identify back stock or multiple facings.
  • Identify and label AbilityOne products with shelf talkers.
  • Manages products that are out-of-stock by check inventory quantity, min/max and flipping shelf tags where products are sold out.
  • Maintain product quality and standards of the store by constantly facing products.
  • Reports any carton and product damage to management for disposition.
  • Represents Lighthouse and AbilityOne in a positive manner and maintains professional appearance.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs (box of copy paper).
  • Ability to perform work assignments requiring repetitive motions.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with standard break periods.
  • Must be able to work on concrete floors that may be uneven. Standing, stooping, bending, stretching throughout shift.
  • Must be able to safely use warehouse equipment, climb ladders and load and unload delivery vehicles.
  • Working knowledge of Zoom Text.
  • Aptitude to perform basic math functions manually and with a calculator.
  • Must be able to use phones, fax and copier.
  • Must be able to communicate in a pleasant, polite, and professional manner with both customers and co-workers.
  • Should be able to answer routine customer questions and direct them to the appropriate person for resolution.
  • Must be fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Commitment to Lighthouse mission.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.
