Our client, a provider of Health, Dental, Vision, Medicaid, and Medicare Healthcare service plans in the state of California with 4.7 million members and $22.9 billion of annual revenues, seeks an accomplished Product Manager.

Job Overview:

This is an opportunity to work on a groundbreaking healthcare initiative, building a new infrastructure to reduce the costs of drugs for Californians. The role involves helping clients move away from pharmacy benefit managers and will be part of launching this new platform by January 1, 2025.


Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of 3 product managers; responsible for EPIC building, requirements, and coordinating development.
  • Heavy involvement in stakeholder management (internal and external, including vendors like Amazon Pharmacy, and Navitus).
  • Working closely with UX research teams.
  • Tools: JIRA for managing epics and stories.
  • Managing the execution of strategic projects—problem-solving, delivering high-quality work, and ensuring timelines are met.


Education Requirement: A bachelor’s degree is a hard requirement.


Experience Required:

  • 10-12 years of product management experience.
  • Expertise in roadmaps, requirements, and working with stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills are crucial as this individual will act as a team lead.
  • Ideally, someone with pharmacy experience or background in healthcare/insurance.
  • Experience with pharmacy or healthcare products is a big plus (also open to insurance or finance experience due to compliance/regulation familiarity).


Day-to-Day:

  • Participating in Agile ceremonies (grooming, refinement, demos, etc.).
  • Frequent communication with internal teams and pharmacy subject matter experts.
  • Collaboration with external vendors.


Success Criteria:

  • Timely execution of the project, ensuring all deliverables meet the schedule.
  • High-quality outputs with minimal bugs post-launch.
  • Increased self-service rates and positive member satisfaction with the new features in the member portal and mobile application.
