We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a fast-paced industrial environment.   • Monitor and analyze equipment behavior, identifying trends and implementing preventive measures to enhance reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and enforce a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, including predictive maintenance initiatives such as lubrication and filters replacement.
  • Plan and coordinate all planned shutdowns, including preventative maintenance and seasonal outages, in collaboration with maintenance planners.
  • Collect and analyze performance data to report on the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Work closely with plant inspectors, oilers, and the maintenance department to troubleshoot equipment issues and prioritize action plans for repeat failures.
  • Champion the implementation and management of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to streamline maintenance operations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards throughout all operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to maintenance personnel, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency while overseeing team performance.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in a heavy industrial environment; experience in the cement industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • Experience with CMMS software and a good understanding of maintenance management practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage all levels of personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and be available for on-call duties as needed.
  • Ability to walk long distances, climb ladders and stairs, and navigate uneven surfaces.
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures.
  • Capable of driving to various work locations as required.
