Responsibilities

  • Work 48 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.
  • Provide care in a 56 bed emergency department.
  • Manage and apply splints.
  • Administer IV therapy and phlebotomy.
  • Handle emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration.
  • Treat neurological cases such as CVA, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury.
  • Handle orthopedic cases.
  • Treat pediatric cases including abdominal pain, asthma, head injury, and more.
  • Manage psychiatric cases such as acute psychosis, drug overdose, and managing violent behavior.
  • Handle respiratory cases including chest tube management and intubation.
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
  • Administer emergency medications and IV vasopressors.
  • Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
  • Obtain 12 lead EKGs.

If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.
