The Senior Advanced Manufacturing/Production Operator at General Dynamics Mission Systems will perform project tasks of moderately complex nature in electronic and/or mechanical assembly and subassembly, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations. Responsibilities

  • Perform project tasks/assignments of moderately complex nature ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Perform fabrication or inspection functions in a research, production or pre-production environment.
  • Build or integrate hardware for prototypes, assemblies and large complex systems.
  • Build RF, multi-function cables and harnesses.
  • Solder ribbons/strip line skills for RF performance.
  • Perform more advanced loading and configuring of customer/standard software on customer device.
  • Perform more advanced fabrication and marking.
  • Provide process documentation and optimization feedback to engineering.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to perform more advanced loading and configuring of customer/standard software on customer device.
  • Ability to perform more advanced fabrication and marking.
  • Distinct communication and computer skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Statistics and SPC applications.
  • Ability to work with a microscope for an entire shift.
  • Ability to stand for up to 4 hours per day while running certain equipment.
  • Capability to perform tasks and identify issues within high-reliability manufacturing requirements.
  • Able to work in team environment.

Preferred

  • AA Degree or certification in manufacturing area.
  • Wire and ribbon bonding utilizing various H&M automatic bonding machines.
  • Automated fluid dispense.
  • Automated MRSI pick and place machines for substrate attach (duroid/ceramic) and component attach (MMICs, IC's, caps, diodes and resistors).
  • Lamination presses, sheet epoxies and bagged curing experience.
  • Soldering skills, clean room procedures, and mechanical assembly experience.

Full Job Description

High School diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. An AA Degree or certification in manufacturing area preferred.

Basically, you’ll perform fabrication or inspection functions in a research, production or pre-production environment by building or integrating hardware for prototypes, assemblies and large complex systems, building RF, multi-function cables and harnesses and soldering ribbons/strip line skills for RF performance.
