The Mechanical Technician at IMALPAL Group Service NA Corporation is responsible for the mechanical aspects of the installation and service of ImalPal Group equipment. Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to maintain and troubleshoot ImalPal process and quality control equipment.
  • Supervise/Perform installation of new ImalPal process equipment including insulated enclosing assembly, commissioning and check out.
  • Assist and train customer’s operators and maintenance personnel on how to operate Group equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee specialized repairs, rebuilds and upgrades of machines.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections.
  • Prepare inspection reports, test logs and acceptance protocols.
  • Monitor contractors working on ImalPal Group systems, ensuring they are following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain open and professional line of communications with customer.
  • Demonstrate strong safety leadership skills and follows company’s work safety policies.
  • Be on call, and capable of providing after hours emergency services when needed.
  • Travel within the US and Canada.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the mechanical aspects of the installation and service to ImalPal Group equipment. The tasks will be primarily installation, inspection, repair and troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and setup of the equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory safety standards, as well as to keep the production through the lines at the agreed upon capacities and qualities.

When required, for new installation or for service operations, the candidate will be supervising customer personnel or assembly crews, ensuring that the equipment will be assembled and set as per the manufacturer’s technical specifications. He/she will commission the equipment and train the customer’s crews for the equipment operation after the startups.

Direct involvement is required as well as hands-on, during the installation, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting.

This position requires travel to Customers plants, in USA and Canada, but does allow for remote working when not required at plants, with visits to ImalPal Group Service NA main offices or premises, when required.
